“From Stone to Spirit-Led”

📖 Scripture

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

— Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV)

✨ Reflection

For years, I thought the goal was to “do better.”

Make better decisions. Spend wiser. Save more. Give faithfully.

But God is not just after better behavior.

He is after a better heart condition.

A heart of stone is not always obvious.

It can look like:

“I’ll handle it myself.”

“I know what I’m doing.”

“I’ll fix it later.”

It’s hard.

It resists correction.

It moves without seeking God.

But a heart of flesh…

It’s soft.

It listens.

It pauses before moving.

It responds to God.

🔍 The Truth Behind “Flesh”

In Ezekiel, “flesh” represents something alive and responsive.

But later, in the New Testament, Paul the Apostle uses “flesh” to describe a life that is:

  • Self-driven

  • Impulsive

  • Disconnected from God

So the issue is not that we have flesh…

👉 The issue is what condition it’s in.

💰 Faith + Finance Insight

A hardened heart will:

Ignore financial discipline

React emotionally to money

Spend to feel instead of spending with purpose

A softened, Spirit-led heart will:

Pause and seek wisdom

Align spending with values

Build, not just survive

Money doesn’t expose your habits.

It exposes your heart condition.

🔑 Financial Warrior Principle

“Transformation doesn’t start with your money.

It starts with your heart.”

📝 Today’s Assignment

Before making any financial decision today, pause and ask:

👉 “Is this decision coming from pressure… or from a Spirit-led place?”

Write down one decision you will delay until you have clarity.

🙏 Prayer

Lord,

Remove every area of hardness in my heart.

Where I have been resistant, make me responsive.

Where I have been impulsive, make me intentional.

Give me a heart that listens before it moves.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
