November 8 — Day 8 of the One Eleven Experience: Financial Warrior Series

Today is my first day after retiring from my corporate job… and I feel free.

Yesterday, I literally shouted to my friends, “I am FREE!”

And today, I mean it with every fiber of my being.

Freedom; can you imagine what that feels like?

To wake up and know that your time, your choices, and your peace belong to you. Well, that’s what I want for you, too.

Financial freedom isn’t about how much money you make.

It’s about what you do with the money you make.

Over the years, I’ve adopted a few simple rules about money that guide me every day:

• Live simply.

• Never pay credit card interest.

• Plan major purchases.

• And only make one major purchase at a time.

Of course, the road hasn’t been without bumps. I lost what I thought was my “dream job” back in 2005; and it shook me. But from that experience came one of the greatest lessons of my life: resilience.

I learned to rebuild. To live within my means. To give myself grace while growing stronger.

So on this 8th day, I encourage you to take a breath.

Release the pressure. Forgive yourself for past mistakes.

Then, make a plan; one you can actually keep.

Cut where you can, adjust where you must, and remember: you are capable of change.
