Theme: Calling on God in Truth
Scripture
“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.”
— Psalm 145:18 (NKJV)
Devotional Reflection
There is a difference between calling on God and calling on Him in truth.
Many of us have learned how to say the right words. We know how to pray, how to sound faithful, how to present strength; even when we feel uncertain. But this scripture reminds us that God is not drawn to performance. He is drawn to truth.
Truth is where alignment begins.
It is where your words match your heart.
Where your faith confronts your fear.
Where your financial reality meets God’s promises without denial or disguise.
Calling on God in truth means coming honestly:
- About your habits
- About your fears
- About your discipline
- About your desires
It means saying, “Lord, this is where I really am.”
And here is the promise:
When you show up in truth, God shows up in nearness.
Not after you fix everything.
Not after you get it all right.
But in the very moment you choose honesty over image.
In your financial journey, truth is your starting point:
- Truth about your spending
- Truth about your debt
- Truth about your stewardship
- Truth about what you trust more than God
Because you cannot transform what you refuse to confront.
And yet, this is not a message of shame; it is a message of access.
God is near.
Not distant from your struggle.
Not disconnected from your decisions.
But present, ready, and responsive when you call on Him in truth.
Today’s Financial Alignment Insight
Financial freedom begins with financial truth.
Before strategy… there must be honesty.
Before increase… there must be alignment.
Action Step (Financial Awareness)
Take 10–15 minutes today and write down:
- Your current financial reality (income, debt, spending habits): start a spending diary.
- One area where you have not been fully honest with yourself
Then pray honestly about it: no filters, no performance.
Affirmation
“I choose truth over appearance. I align my heart, my habits, and my finances with God’s truth. As I do, He draws near to me.”
Closing Thought
Truth is not where you are exposed:
It is where you are positioned for transformation.
