DAY 24 — What You Give, Grows

"Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned.

Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.

For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:37–38 (NKJV)

The Heart Check That Fuels Financial Freedom

Growing up, I thought money management was simply about numbers… what you earned, what you spent, and what you saved. But over the years, I learned something deeper — financial freedom is just as spiritual and emotional as it is practical. Luke 6 reminds us that giving is tied to our attitude, not just our bank account.

It challenges us to look inward. Before we talk budgets, investments, or retirement — we must first check the condition of our heart.

  • Are we holding on to judgment?

  • Are we carrying condemnation — toward ourselves or others?

  • Are we withholding forgiveness?

  • Are we afraid to give?

This scripture teaches us a powerful principle: your heart posture determines your flow.

When your heart is tight, life feels tight. When your spirit releases, your finances begin to move too.

Why It Matters for Your Finances

ree

When I began to forgive myself — for my past mistakes, for being hard on myself, for not knowing better when I didn’t — I noticed something… my ability to manage money improved.

Why? Because forgiveness unlocks mental clarity. Generosity opens doors. Releasing judgment makes room for new possibilities.

The Word says what we measure out… will come back to us pressed down, shaken together, and running over. That is abundance — both spiritual and financial.

Reflection Questions

  • Is there someone — or even yourself — you need to forgive in order to move forward?

  • Do you judge how others spend money? How has that shaped your own decisions?

  • What could generosity look like for you today? (Not just money — time, kindness, wisdom, attention?)

Today’s Action Step

Write down ONE thing you're willing to release today — judgment, fear, condemnation, unforgiveness.

Then write down ONE thing you’re willing to give: a gift, a compliment, a prayer, a smile, encouragement, or even a financial contribution to someone in need.

What you release makes room for what God wants to give. What you give, grows.

Prayer

Lord, today I release judgment and fear.

I choose forgiveness — for myself and others.

I receive Your promise of abundance,

pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Teach my heart to give freely and manage wisely.

Amen.
